The product
What it is, and when it earns its place
Racking that uses the height of a room only works if somebody can reach the top of it. We make the ladders alongside the racks for exactly that reason — it is the item most fit-outs forget until the first week of use.
An A-frame step ladder stands on its own, which is what you want in the middle of an aisle where there is nothing to lean on. A straight ladder leans and takes up less room stored, which suits a shop floor or a narrow godown where it lives against a wall between uses.
Both are steel rather than aluminium, with treads that are gripped rather than smooth, and both are powder coated so a ladder kept in a damp store room does not turn into a rusted one.
What we need to quote it
- The height you need to reach, not the height of the ladder
- Whether it has to stand free or can lean
- Where it is stored between uses
- How long people stand on it at a stretch, which decides tread width
- Whether it lives in a damp store room

Questions
Industrial Ladders: common questions
What height do you make them to?
Tell us the reach rather than the ladder — the top shelf of your racking, or the ceiling fitting — and we will build to it. Nothing here comes in fixed sizes.
Step ladder or straight ladder?
A step ladder stands on its own, so it works in the middle of an aisle with nothing to lean on. A straight ladder stores flatter against a wall. Most godowns end up with one of each.
Are they steel or aluminium?
Steel, powder coated. It is what we fabricate, and it is what stands up to a working godown rather than an occasional household job.
Send us your shop measurements.
A photograph of the wall or the floor, and rough sizes. That is all we need to give you a price.
